Seems like #softwar thesis could result in the DOD wanting its own hashpower or issuing contracts (including straight BTC purchases) for cyber defense reasons, and yet the White House (and presumably Treasury supports this ill-advised concept), is proposing a 30% electricity tax on #Bitcoin min(t)ing. Better idea: tax credits for green and methane-based BTC minting. And fiat bonds to build a national strategic Bitcoin reserve.
