Agencies can still monitor us before any data is encrypted. This can make using such tools seem suspicious and increase our vulnerability to scrutiny. I don't use any of the tools you mentioned and have no intention of doing so. This fear-based narrative needs to be challenged, whether it comes from political authorities or government agencies. We need to push back against this fearmongering.
