I just put comfrey leaves in a dry bucket with a lid on and let it all break down naturally over winter. It’s ready for when I need it from spring onwards. This dry method makes a much less smelly liquid feed and takes a few months to make.

I guess pressing it speeds the process up quite a lot.

I also do a nettle liquid feed for the early plants and save the comfrey feed for the fruiting stage.
