Ahmed Abu Artema, the peace activist who inspired the March of Return in 2018 in Gaza and has advocated for years for non-violent resistance, wrote this beautiful piece about walking with the crowds returning to the north on January 27.

The Israeli army bombed Ahmed's family home in Rafah. He was badly burned but survived, but he lost his son Abdullah, two of his brothers and mother-in-law.
