You have the freedom to cut off a server that's 98% or more bullcrap and be done with it. Even as a Fedi user, no need to be an admin.
On the big monolithic platforms, there's no escape from such groups, you can't cut them off. Blocking the idiots is a full time job there.
Instead of the burning-house meme, the Fediverse IS fine.
