A country that boasts of its freedom ends up showing itself to be oppressive and authoritarian. People are not committing any crime and do not care about privacy because they really know that It's a Chinese tale of the government. When they don't like the result of the elections they blame the Chinese, the Russians, Iran and all the real or imaginary enemies they can collect, just so they don't accept that people have rejected them.
It happens in my country too and almost everywhere. When it suits politicians, they use the Internet and social networks to their advantage, and when their rivals do it, it turns out to be a crime. I worked in intelligence and I know the dirty tricks of politicians, governments, businessmen and all levels of power that share the social cattle that for them is the people.
By the way, I don't use TikTok. But that doesn't matter.
