You might have noticed some people's profiles have a link to a website with a green tick next to it. This means the account belongs to the person or group that owns the website.
For example if you go to npub1kvnpp3m60derhwpqwc09zhk3ehk48tr6agc6dk9z2vggu9sga28qpxhm73 (npub1kvn…hm73) its profile's link to Wikipedia.org is green, so we know the account belongs to Wikipedia.
Anyone who owns a website can do this account verification by inserting a special bit of HTML code on their site. More info on how to do it here:
