2/ It’s because they intend to turn a *profit* meaning *unprofitable* services will be phased out. “Unprofitable” people will be denied benefits. “Unprofitable” postal routes will be dropped.
Do we really want our veterans’ healthcare determined by a system that makes money by denying claims? Or our USPS profitable only because it will no longer service rural or remote communities?
Some things are simply best left with the government to run as a public service, not as a profit center.
