It's beautifully poetic and quite chilling. I seriously got chills when he said "All roads lead to Rome." It... doesn't mention that there might not be a lot people can do to act. My Rubicon was the PATRIOT act, and I acted, and look how effective my pathetic attempts at change have been. Am I avoiding action to just wait and see? What action, exactly? How can I be effective in my resistance against tyranny?

What I tell people is if there is something you can do, absolutely do it, and if there is something you can refuse to do, refuse to do it without a gun held to your head. And if not... just take care of yourself, make friends, build community, get to know your neighbors. Tyrants don't win because we all just decided not to act. They win by using terror and oppression to make it impossible to act. When you see confused people just wandering to a protest because they want to change things but they don't know anyone in the world who they can change things with, that's a victorious tyrant right there. Giving us opportunities, tactics, and techniques for working together and building trust between each other is the only way to resist fascism. Nothing any of us can do alone will be able to move an ocean of helplessness and fear.
