Does this not sum up the dichotomy of Fiat vs Bitcoin?
Last few paragraphs of LynAlden (npub1a2c…w83a) January newsletter (which you should definitely subscribe to).
Fiat insulates itself to push entropy everywhere else via its use as a unit of account, despite is gradual decline in purchasing power.
Bitcoin does not insulate itself from entropy because it is the only stable unit of account to exist.
It is ironic (and to a normie, unintuitive) how the chaos and instability in our world that Fiat has caused is reflected in the Fiat denominated price of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is not volatile, the world is volatile. Bitcoin is just the best tool we have in pricing reality.
