That is super frustrating and no one would blame you for tossing the whole kit and kaboodle into the deep blue sea.
Should you choose to keep the machine though, this reads like the problems I had with a machine I borrowed from a friend once. After *days* of frustration, I discovered that I wasn’t taking care to run the bobbin thread correctly through its tensioner.
