Farley on Nostr: ...

**The Savior and the Cypher**

For centuries, people prayed for salvation from the chains of corrupt rulers, unjust systems, and broken promises. In ancient times, they prayed for a Messiah to lead them into a new era of spiritual freedom. Enter Jesus—a humble carpenter, bringing a message of love, forgiveness, and a kingdom not of this world. But wait! People were expecting a warrior king with swords and armies, not someone who preached about turning the other cheek. So, many didn’t believe He was the one they'd been waiting for.

Fast forward to modern times. People have been praying for financial freedom, weary of inflation, debt, and the power that central authorities wield over money. Along comes Bitcoin—a mysterious, code-driven creation offering decentralization, transparency, and independence from the fiat system. But hold on! People were expecting something more familiar, like shiny gold bars or government promises, not digital coins from a cryptic network. So, many dismiss it as a fad or even a scam.

**The common thread?** Both Jesus and Bitcoin were unexpected answers to long-held prayers, yet both face resistance because they don’t fit into conventional molds. Jesus challenged the religious and political systems of His time, while Bitcoin challenges our understanding of money and power. And just like the Messiah came to bring freedom of the soul, Bitcoin’s mission is to bring freedom to how we store and exchange our time and energy.

It’s a reminder that answers to our deepest desires often come in forms we don’t expect. Maybe, just maybe, both the Savior and the Cypher have a little more in common than we thought!
