Perpetually fascinated that the effort involved in negotiating and managing large contracts is trivial when compared to the amount of time I spend in meetings negotiating subsidized or volunteer work.
I'm pretty sure it boils down to the fact that when people are paying you a day rate, they quickly realize that unnecessary meetings are very expensive.
