Today's shop time was chiseling a battery holder from some pine for a battery, then cutting some 0.5 x 6mm brass strips down to 0.5 x 1mm and drilling two holes through the wooden battery holder to hit the contacts. Unfortunately I drilled for positions 2 and 5, rather than 1 and 4 (mirrored it). Will try again tomorrow morning with my brain on straight.
