The merchant will see that we bought a gift card eventually, yes. This information isn't usually real time and not heavily monitored by brands. We don't use the name Coincards when purchasing cards so there is some obfuscation there. We also aren't required to provide individual transactions to any state we operate in, so I'm not sure who you think we serve, but gift cards are still more private than banks/credit cards.
