I have argued over the years that instead of framing the #TikTok ban as national security, something that will be almost impossible to ever prove publicly, it should be a market access argument.
“TikTok can be in the Sates if Facebook can be in China” is easy to understand and causes conversations around fairness instead of secret intelligence, and can be applied to many apps instead of just one.
