Carter had to sell his peanut farm because they were concerned he might benefit farmers and indirectly himself as president. Last time Trump promised to keep his business at arms length with no say in how they were run. Now he’s just like, fuck it, I’m going to act like a tin pot autocrat and make as much money as I can while I’m in power. That’s the actions of someone who thinks their own country is a shithole.
