begging people working on last-minute accessibility initiatives (which is to say most of them) to understand that multiply-disabled people do in fact exist and a solution that works for a singly-disabled person may not work for people with multiple disabilities.
for instance, a friend described an elevator interface where the user specified the floor they're travelling to via a touchscreen interface when calling for one, as opposed to pressing a button inside the elevator. the 'accessibility' for this interface is a button that, when pressed, begins to enumerate the available floors and the user is supposed to tap the screen when it reaches their floor.
it's a little quick even for singly-disabled blind people, at present, but I'm thinking that blind people with motor control disabilities will have trouble using this interface.
and all because the venue with this setup wants to be Hip and With It.
