I have misgendered several trans people today and feel horrible. I am still very unused to neopronouns among just my mind identifying stereotypical “male” appearances / sounds with masculine pronouns.
They were never mad at me for misgendering them, possibly because it happens a lot, possibly because they have a lot of understanding.
I suck at this, as I’m neither good at remembering names nor think about what I say enough to actively use accurate pronouns, but I do my best. In a day or two I will have this down - also this will normalize in my mind a lot more. I’m still very sorry, I hope I will merely have to unlearn this part of my language…
