Metadata blocks containing file sizes and encrypted filenames are also Device Encrypted.

One of the planned features for GrapheneOS is adding a toggle for making the small amount of Device Encrypted (DE) data work as Credential Encrypted (CE) data within the Owner user by asking for the Owner password in early boot. This will be useful to people with a high threat model who don't need alarms and carrier-based calls/texts working Before First Unlock. It also rules out accessibility.
