The principle question that republicans should ask Merrick Garland isn't whether he was aware of anything or not, because he never is, but what he actually did TO BE AWARE of what the DOJ was doiing under his management as Attorney General.
That question alone will get Merick to admit either one of two things:
1) He doesn't care about performing his duties.
2) Was ordered to not peform his duties by the POTUS.
Yet this question is strangely left absent by most of the proceedings, it seems.
Why is that?
