Imagine I launched a commercial software program which answers questions, but actually used big chunks of other people's copyrighted work, sometimes slightly changed, sometimes verbatim, but never with credit to the original author.
Also, the whole idea of "fair use" was for writers to use small amounts of other people's works in critical writing, not to vacuum up all the works of humanity and resell them.
