Here I'll talk about ideologies bearing on how human society ought to be organized, which is where the real battle over truth is centered.
A free speech communications sphere or system, quite a rare thing, does indeed allow honest truth-seekers to say what they will, and so truth, or at least a path to truth, has a chance.
Not so with most curated (that is, censored) systems. Just looking at it logically and mathematically, we can see this must be so. Curators generally censor (or at least severely disadvantage) points of view that directly contradict or threaten theirs.
The curators are of various ideologies, say a hundred for argument's sake. They are all mutually contradictory, and therefore cannot all be right. The chances are very high that 99 or 100 of them will be wrong in a fundamental way.
Therefore, on average, the truth is much harder to find on curated systems.
