Like many people in 2015, I spent more than a few months obsessed with the musical _Hamilton_
Unlike many, I viewed it as a story about the most intimate of relationships — the one between a man and his speechwriter. (I doubt Hamilton loved Eliza, Angelica, Philip or even John Laurens as much as he loved Washington.) I briefly toyed with getting 'Pick up a pen start writing' as a tattoo.
I'm thinking about that show a lot today. What a graceful way to teach them how to say goodbye...
