I saw HP trying to schill an Elitebook as being privacy friendly because they sell a privacy screen for it and offering demos on how to use it. Privacy screens are nice and all but this laptop shipped with Windows 11 and had a closed source BIOS. There is nothing privacy friendly about it. The worst part was in the comments there were some people praising them. I truly hope they were being paid to do so. The first step towards having more privacy is to do research and i'll give you a tip: no mainstream brand of tech is privacy friendly. You will have to go to alternate avenues and make sacrifices to attain even a modicum of privacy.
