That said, I wonder what the plugin review process would think about signed updates. Would they say it contradicts [point 18](https://github.com/wordpress/wporg-plugin-guidelines/blob/trunk/guideline-18.md)?
I was also thinking that people could start GPG signing their forum posts as a way to both ensure the content integrity as well as demonstrate a lack of trust in the platform.
