:blobcatverified2: (npub1xp9…amfw) they are starting to clean up their act now. I've been noticing that they're removing unneeded parts of the OS for a while. windows 11 feels like a turning point for microsoft imo. people are getting mad that their computers are now unyable to run on decade old machines.
my thing is that people got exactly what they asked for. TPM 2.0 is a massive security advantage, people have been asking microsoft to make their OS more secure, but when microsoft mandates you use a security chip, they get angry. microsoft looses either way.
and requiring a microsoft account makes password brute-force impossible, because it encrypts your login details.
be careful what you ask for because microsoft will do it.
