I read a take on it, that it's about a bunch of people practicing witchcraft ("the mood is right, the spirit's up, we're here tonight, and that's enough") and then someone else walks in (loudly, "SIMPLY HAVING A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS TIME"). And now I can't unhear it. It's still terrible. But at least I can snicker a little. That said, I'm not hearing it at every rest stop because I'm not travelling.
