The biggest difference I notices is European trucks are so much smaller vs North America due to space constraints (narrow streets)
Gear & tools will vary by department & funding availability so harder to say. For a volunteer department, we are very well equipped & recently swapped to carbon fiber tanks but I saw heavier aluminum in 1 truck. We also bought electric extrication equipment which improves mobility; I saw gas powered extrication equipment. Was interesting to see some of their trucks can respond with 9 FF! (We usually send 4 or 5 in 1 truck).
Also very interesting that they have both career & volunteers in Frankfurt - in Canada a city this size would be 100% career
