I just watched The Ipcress File for the first time ever (I think it's far more well-known in the UK than in the US), and discovered to my amusement that the entire opening set piece is like an advertisement for New Scientist magazine, which our soon-to-be-brainwashed scientist is reading obsessively in every scene. Also, damn, what a weird movie.
