Pulling it the #M5Stack 'Lego' we start the block diagram.
Two options for 'brain', a StickC and a Core2. Either will do the job (actually an Atom would) but I can probably show some useful weather info on the Core2 as well as provide local shutter monitoring/control.
An I2C quad relay board.
Various sensor options (why I like the M5Stack stuff, just pull it out and think about what your options are). There's a light sensor, two thermal devices, and a TOF sensor (all I2C).
Also a PIR.
