I do wonder a bit too, if it's worth it. At the moment, I won't be missing much as I've already pulled away from those services for the most part.

Once my kids start living outside the house and continue living life, I may have to contemplate it a bit harder. Which is a reason I have already started hosting our photos on Nextcloud and have an avenue for them to easily share life. I'm laying that framework now and hoping it pays off later.
