I'd say codeberg is easier, as you can simply push to the pages branch of any repository to publish web artifacts there (The page is then available at <username>.codeberg.page/<repo>; or on a custom domain).
However, I think that uploading a tar file without having to version check the files might be better in some cases (i.e. when using an SSG like hugo, where I don't need the build output in git, as I'm already tracking my source files)
