To value nature, and conserve it, especially in the deserts. Fire resistant, and water smart trees, with deeper roots, help.
Most of the north, bordering USA, has shallow rooted trees that don’t reach the constant flooded grounds, and dry up as soon as the heat comes.
You’d think the saguaro is pointing to that, though shallow rooted, biologists know it’s secret is conserving water. Now, what of trees described above (that have deep roots, fire resistant, and self-propagate?) Then funds won’t be an issue…
Just establish a few on both sides of the road, coinciding with the rain.
