Overall, I support the two points made in the article:
- the need for discussions about the UK as a mature economy
- the challenges of a rightwing info market
What's missing from the piece is the correlation of the two. Until the info space is "broadened", any discussion of the first point would be weaponised.
To have needed conversations on the social contract, the UK (and world) need to rein in rightwing disinfo and hate media. I'm not sure how that will happen.
