only industrial grade sd-cards for me after reading more about it. and i'll have to renew my external ssds as well. obviously, only for important stuff. for less important, i'll keep two copies on cards of different brands. it seems that high humidity and salt air killed the cards. why does everything evolve to a rabbit hole?
