Family breakdowns, single-parent households, and other changes have weakened social bonds and community ties, leading to isolation and fragmentation, with negative impacts on mental health as well. I’d like to believe it’s bad karma for centuries of colonial pillaging and deliberate destruction of indigenous cultures.
