#USAID financed many independent media outlets, opposition media outlets and opposition parties in #Cuba… a noble cause, but do American taxpayers really care about Cuba’s freedom ??? Most likely not, and even less so when you read the numbers they received for the same result: more communism. The few protests that have increased in #Cuba in recent years aren't thanks to the work and plans of alternative political parties, they are a consequence of socialism and centralization itself, making it increasingly difficult to run a totally centralized economy that is now giving a little more economic freedom to its oligarchs. The independent media are saved, they are less guilty, they have always complied, although not all, with showing the reality of Cuba, it is their job… the point I want to get to is: the state has converted the opposition or the opposition became leeches of grants, they received a lot of money for very few results, both governments knew it but the constant freedom of Cuba is a beautiful opportunity for corruption and money laundering where everyone benefits, the majority doesn't want the circus to end… this shows once again that the state is a bad manager, it intervenes only for its benefit, nobody knows their needs better than the individuals themselves
