social credit scores
are a reality in western countries too:
examples:
1. airbnb lets the host rate you. depending on your reviews you will get accepted to rent or you will be denied. if you did not dispose of the trash or if you did not clean up the kitchen, you will get bad reviews (hidden language like in letters of reference). you pay a high cleaning fee and you are still required to clean the apartment before you leave. with a bad airbnb credit score you will be denied to rent high in demand property.
2. uber lets the drivers judge you and does not even show you what they write about you (only stars from 1-5). if they cannot find you, even though you are at the meeting point: bad rating, if you shut the door too loud: bad rating. if the driver had a bad day: bad social credit score. too low tip: bad credit score. your uber credit score will determine your ability to rent an uber at peak times and it will determine your waiting period and/or the fare. at peak times the fare goes up 200-300%
banks: banks give you a credit score. a (social) credit score. you are aware of that.
solution:
do not take part in any social credit score activity. opt out.
book a hotel. airbnb is overrated and has become too expensive lately adding ridiculous fees and extortion. in a hotel you are the boss and only you can rate, as it should be in capitalism.
instead of uber, use trains where they are available or busses. use your own car or a bike. there are many alternatives. also uber has become very expensive and it is price gauging at peak times.
do not allow anyone to judge you. do not fall for a social credit system. this is only the beginning
and last but not least: instead of banks, use bitcoin
