Was it windy last night in Ōtautahi? I was hanging out the washing this morning and stepped on a plum and then remembered it's not plum season. 😬 When I looked around I found two other baby birds (I suspect blackbirds but too young and naked to be sure) also lying dead on the grass, each under the same plum tree but several metres apart.
Have buried them all together in an unmarked grave....
