For a while I've thought about setting up my own self hosted non-federating Mastodon server where I could send quick messages to myself as quickly and easily as posting here. But every time I looked into what it would take to keep it private I realized what an effort it would be to make something do a thing opposite of what it was supposed to do
Well today I stood up a Memos server
https://www.usememos.com/ and it was exactly what I wanted
