The NE Coasters lost a whole bunch of the letter 'R' in words and those R's landed in words like "warsh" (aka wash)...

So all y'all that are dropping those letter 'T' from words (Button - said Buh on, Mountain - said Moun an)...

I'm going to find a place for all those T's to land somewhere.

It's the Second Law of Conservation of Letters.
