Even though BSky isn't really decentralized yet and yada yada yada the fact of the matter is there are active communities there for anime, art, Christianity, Linux/programming/sysadmin stuff, sinology, and tons of other communities that you can't find on any other nu-Twitter, and you can get attention easily just by putting in a little time and talking to people. It's also one of the only nu-Twitters where they clearly thought through how discovery was going to work, it's probably the easiest new microblogger to join in current year no matter what.

I mocked them back in the day for taking so long to get anything at all done, but I think it did pay off in some ways.

The community and jannying has a lefty bend, but whatever. I enjoy posting there. It's not a bad site. If they're here to stay I hope there are good ways to distribute the hosting but even if it stays more or less as is, big leap forward.
