like i can tell when someone has been institutionalized or not based on their discourse around psychiatry, psychology and psychiatric drugs and i honestly think that if you're not ever been in a mental facility of any kind you should NEVER speak when someone (directly affected by psychiatric violence) is talking about their own experience(s) (the bad ones are more common than we think but the internet is full of fucking boot lickers (i have another made up slur for them but i won't say anything) that are trying to really silence us) OR when we are trying to explain that ssris, benzos, antipsychotics and "mood stabilizers" like lithium ARE dangerous, why they ARE a tool of oppression and the dangers of their overprescription and the medicalization of psychic suffering under capitalism, neocolonialism, sexism, racism, ableism, etc.
