Five years ago we did a project with our soil and water #conservation board to restore 500 feet of #lakeshore with native plants to reduce erosion from boat waves on our #Minnesota lake. Every year they bring about 30 of their peers and students to show the progress.
I'm glad we did this instead of rip wrapping the shore. Only problem have been muskrats tunneling into the bank, and fighting Reed canary grass, which previously occupied the shore. Otherwise, big success. Birds and pollinators love it, and we enjoy the view.
