The landmark of Konstanz is the monument of Kaiser Wilhelm I, raised to try to spark a nationalist cult. The monument is 37 meters high and is located at the meeting of the rivers Mosel and Rhine, the best place in town. One town further north, in Bonn, the great composer Ludwig van Beethoven was born in 1770. He gets a 2.5 meter high statue in a hidden location in a park.
