and then listen to how you respond to that choice. if the yes answer does fit your values, your body may give you a physical blast of what I think of as "values alignment relief". perhaps you'll be as pleasantly surprised as I was when I let myself accept the "I want this" path. I discovered that it feels wonderful when you stop battling against the "external shoulds" and listen to your own values.
you may not be ready to mom, now or ever. but if you're trying to decide, then "try it on". if this exercise seems "scary", remember that you're just testing the potential path. parenting is best, imo, as a chosen path.
