To have 0 expectations is to refuse to acknowledge that we are human and at some extent we will have some. To not let those expectations drive us, it's another thing. For example, I always expect people to be kind and I had to learn the hard way that not everyone is kind and good at heart. So it's an exercise I must do all the time to slow down and let people show who they really are. It took me heartbreak to learn this.
