yep. 100% same usage. For the good and the bad. “Estaba por la zona y aproveché para llamarte”and “Se aprovechó de mi”. Probably the weirdest usage might be “aprovechar comida” which we use it for when we don’t want to throw away food and we want to use it in another dish. “comida de aprovechamiento” is a thing.
