Well, Ishtar/Isis tricked her brother Marduk into killing her husband Dumuzi/Tammuz so she could get his spot on the council to become the Goddess of both Love and War đ€ At least we still honor Dumuzi by bringing fir trees inside from the forest and decorating it with tin and candles on his birthday.
If not for Ishtar, Marduk wouldn't have been imprisoned in the Great Pyramid as punishment, and have to blast his way out of the top corner. Which of course led to him nuking what became the Dead Sea, with the winds blowing the fallout back into his own lands, the Lamentations of Ur. đ
